Privacy policy
Recilib is a personal recipe library developed by Victor Danneels. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app or contact us.
Recipes and local storage
Your recipes, ingredient catalogue, annotations, tags and imported recipe photos are stored in the app’s storage on your device. Recilib does not require an account and does not upload your recipe library to a developer-operated server.
Recilib does not include advertising, user tracking or an integrated analytics or crash-reporting service.
Photos, files and clipboard
When you choose a photo or recipe file to import, Recilib accesses the item you select and saves the imported content locally. Photos may be resized and recompressed for storage. Clipboard access is used when you choose to import or export recipe text. Any photo permission requested is used for recipe photo selection, and you can manage permissions in your device settings.
Downloading images from a URL
If you enter an image URL, Recilib contacts that website to download the image. The website and its hosting providers receive the request, including your IP address and requested URL, and may retain information under their own privacy policies. The downloaded recipe image is then stored locally. Recilib does not send your recipe library to that website.
Exporting and sharing
When you export or share a recipe, the selected recipe content and any included photo are placed in the exported file, clipboard or destination you choose. Recipients and other apps or services handle that content under their own practices. Only share information you intend to provide to them.
Backups and deletion
Your device’s backup services may include Recilib’s local data, depending on your settings. Those backups are managed by your device or backup provider; Recilib does not operate a cloud backup or synchronization service.
You can delete recipes in the app. Deleting the app using the operating system’s delete or uninstall action removes its local app data; offloading the app may retain that data. Exported files, original photos, content shared with others and device backups are separate copies and must be managed separately. Export recipes you want to keep before deleting the app.
Support enquiries
If you email recilib@victordanneels.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and resolve your enquiry, and keep it only as long as reasonably needed for that purpose or applicable legal obligations. Email is processed through OVHcloud forwarding and Microsoft’s email service. Avoid sending sensitive information or your complete recipe library unless needed for your request.
This website and external services
Opening this website or a support or privacy link sends a normal web request, including your IP address, to the website infrastructure. Server and network providers may process technical information to deliver and secure the website. These pages do not include analytics scripts, advertising or tracking cookies. External websites, email providers and device backup services have their own privacy policies.

We will update this policy when Recilib’s practices change and show the updated date here. For privacy questions or requests concerning support correspondence, contact Victor Danneels at recilib@victordanneels.com. Your locally stored recipe library is not accessible to us.
